How Rocking On Your Hands and Knees Can Open Up Your Hips
Do your hips and back get tight after a day at the office? Are you constantly stretching your glutes and hip flexors with no change?
If so, then ROCKING might just be what you need. Rocking is a reset that has come from the Original Strength System. It is based on the body’s development as a young child and helps reset the nervous system to improve reflexive stability.
When rocking your body turns on muscles that are required to work and turns off muscles that are overworking. Using it as part of movement preparation, warm-ups and in between sets (especially when squatting) can really open up the hips and makes it a great mobility and stability exercise. Start rocking if you want your hips to feel open and free. Its simple, its easy and it works.
Rocking is also fantastic if you are just starting back into exercise following pregnancy, abdominal surgery or following shoulder or hip injury. Always check with your doctor before starting new exercise.
If stretching glutes and hip flexors is getting you nowhere I suggest giving this move a try for about a week and see what happens. Get down and try 3 sets of 20 rocks and then see how you feel. The difference in your movement just might amaze you!
